What have we been up to?

Here is some of what we have been working on:

In math, continue to explore patterns.  We are working on identifying, creating and extending increasing and decreasing patterns.

Example:

What are the missing numbers in the following pattern?  State the pattern rule.

21, 25, 29, _____, ______,  41

In writing we have been working on descriptive texts.  We have been writing about our monsters.  See if your child can tell you all the things that must be included in a descriptive text.

In reading, we have been working on making connections while we read.  Ask your child about the different kinds of connections we can make.

In science, we continue to explore forces.  Ask your child about the friction experiment we did this week.
