This week we have begun to work on patterning.  Students need to be able to identify, extend, and create repeating patterns that change by 2 or more attributes.

Ask your child what an attribute is and see if they can give you examples of different attributes.

Have them create patterns that change by 2 or more attributes for practise.

We will be moving on to growing and shrinking number patterns.

We also started working on descriptive writing.  We explored adjectives and how adding adjectives to our writing makes it more interesting and helps the reader visualize.
